Born to save – our history

After 25 years spent in senior management with major banking players, Mr Ajay Kumar set out to deliver something better to Kiwis.
He launched Global Finance in 1999 with one vision: to help New Zealanders get ahead. That meant helping get the finance they needed to get buy property and further their business goals, but he also wanted to do more. Using his insider banking knowledge, he set out to support clients to save on their loans, by avoiding unnecessary interest and getting mortgage-free faster. With insurance added to the mix, Global Finance was onto a winning formula.
Since our beginning, we’ve helped some customers become mortgage-free in as little as 7 years rather than the standard 30-year term often offered by banks.
